Anja Olofgörs’ work is found in the interchange between performance, text
and image. The starting point is her interest in connections between bodily and
cultural structures. She investigates how body and form adapt to change,
environment and ideals.

With a background in dance, and interests in bodies and spatiality, her work
continues to influence by ideas focused on cognitive and physical experiences. Questions regarding our physical relationship to images, objects and space has a
crucial role in her work process, where new artistic projects begin with archival material.

An important part of Olofgörs’ work is the interdisciplinary discourse that is
generated through collaboration between artistic expressions and scientific
disciplines, including dance, architecture, and photography.  Her work investigates the linkages between language, surface, body and space - which create new social, political and experimental spaces using modern techniques.
